Thoughts on Portland L?

I’m looking to purchase a Hanoverian broodmare who is currently in foal to Portland L, does anyone have any thoughts, questions, comments on him?

He jumped GP in Europe. He is a modern stallion with nice/older bloodlines. He was bred to some very average mares here in Alberta but some of his offspring are still showing up in the ring. I have seen many of the offspring but looking at foals and two year olds doesn’t tell you much about a jumping sire. FWIW, they are correct foals.
I would contact the owners as they are very nice people who would probably be very helpful with details. They have a young stallion right now who may just make our Canadian SJ team with his rider in the next couple of years.

Love my Portland L babies. I bought two different mares both in foal to Portland L and he definitely improved on the mares. Both foals are lovely, a bit older type. One was purchased by a professional barn and I’m retaining the other one. Very quiet and I would say amateur friendly temperaments.
