Thoughts on "The Traveling Horse Witch?"

Because of her mere presence

Eww. She is definitely a repugnant individual, along with her extreme narcissism. Delightful.

I saw this article in the NY Post and immediately thought of the barefoot acolytes here!

That poor woman. Didn’t she know she was supposed to wear majickal bangle bracelets to create a protective aura around her presence?

Her recent training post really showed how much she doesn’t know. I mean the barefoot no helmet shows a lot too, but her post makes me think she thinks it comes from the front end. And the victim trauma stuff is just awful.

I was thinking the exact some thing!

Where might I find this?

So firstly, thank you for this informative but also hilarious thread. I had to put my phone down a few times to chuckle…

I hate the fact she’s in my area too, I’ve heard a lot of different opinions; some owners and trainers love BTMM, and some think she’s a crackpot. I’ve always watched from afar because I don’t like her vibe. At all. Egotistical, IG model influencer stuff involving reckless behavior around horses with no regard for safety because she and her ‘tribe’ will be ok because they have speshul magjik powers, imagery of dead animals, semi naked photos, big outpourings of personal s*^t for some performative vulnerability points … the whole thing just … ick!

Anyway, her nerve release course is all kinds of sketch. Here you can’t certify if you’re not an accredited school. Bodyworkers are licensed by the WA state dept of health. They cannot go around saying things like ‘your horse’s nuchal ligament is broken’.
In the past it was a battle to even have the state license when the state wanted to be a vet supervision/referral state. I find it hugely disrespectful of those tenured bodyworkers who fought for the state licensing process that this charlatan is out there teaching people (anyone) very deep, very pain inducing ‘bodywork’. It’s not ok, at all.
If those who are as pissed about it as me, please feel free to message me to bring this to the state licensing dept’s attention and to the state vet board.

Again, I thank you for the chuckles. But this nut job needs to be stopped before she damages more horses, and misleads more well intentioned, if ill informed horse owners.

I guess it’s a reshare called of horses and women from Nov 14 2020 on her Facebook personal page.

Can we be friends? You absolutely nailed how I feel about this #Bossbabe. I was just having this conversation with my coach this morning about people who go from Horseman to WooWooCarrotStick.

She really does know all of the buzzwords.

Hahaaa!! I’ve said it before: I’ll take working with the huge, hot 17hh youngster who has a stud chain over his nose than the 15hh QH mix who has been exclusively trained with treats, crystals and ‘consent’.
Yeah there’s a lot to be said for gentle horsemanship, but there’s a lot to be said for manners in a powerful animal. I fear we are going down a road where correction is frowned upon because of the overpowering trend towards … anthropomorphizing, and little girls grow up thinking they can talk with their horses nicely when they are barging them out of the way, nipping and carting them around on the ground. But ya know, they just need more treats and conversations about consent with their horses, and crystals and some super speshul protective bangles for the day that horse really goes for them.

EXACT same problem in dogs! Head binders or harness shackles instead of training collars and shoveling food into their mouths instead of saying “No” or correcting them. SICKENING. And abusive, in its own way. Poorly trained, badly behaved dogs end up euthanized all because their *pet parents" :face_vomiting: :face_vomiting: :face_vomiting: refuse to teach them how to handle the world and behave with decent manners.

Yep !! And horses end up in the kill pen. These are herd and pack animals people!!! You lead, or they will. They prefer to know what is expected of them. However, if you have witch powers you can keep a stallion that grabbed you by the shoulder and ‘shook you like a rag doll’ entire. Just for the sake of it. Those witch powers can be learnt, it will just cost you a few thousand $$$$.
Got it. Ok. I’ve been wrong about horses for 30 years. I just needed witch powers, there was no reason to geld my youngster when he started biting and treating people like a toy thing. SMH. :woman_facepalming:t2:
