Thoughts on "The Traveling Horse Witch?"

I’m not challenging you, I was burned by THW myself and she injured my horse. I am just trying to gain clarification of your findings. Can you elaborate on what you mean?

Well it looks like she is fully licensed in massage so she’s not lying about that. Letting your LLc lapse is really nothing. So we are left with claims that she is representing her education falsely but
I don’t see anything on her business pages or her FB pages about her degrees. So she’s not representing her education falsely to get business on those platforms. If she has lied directly to clients that’s a different matter.

I’m really trying to understand the fuss. If someone bought something from her based on lies, that’s fraud. So when did that happen? Just want to be clear.

Then. She took it down. That alone tells me she has no college education at all and was caught lying. If you think that’s okay… also. I have an LLC. I have never let it lapse. In Colorado it’s a small fee annually. Letting it lapse is poor business, laziness and lack of care for what you built. That is how I see it.

From what I can tell, it’s an amalgamation of a lot of things. It’s not specifically “she lied about X”, it’s “she lied about X, implied Y, has no training in Z, is selling a program in W for $$$$$$ with no formal training, and said these awful things to and about people as well”. Probably more. Somebody should put it all together in a clear, concise list, apparently.

It’s the entire package that makes a lot of people go :grimacing::grimacing::grimacing::grimacing::grimacing:

Ok, thanks. In the screen caps I don’t see her claiming anything other than a bachelors in science.

She may have lied in that FB conversation you referenced and that’s not a good look, but it’s not fraud unless she was trying to induce someone into something (which doesn’t seem to be the case). But I agree that it’s poor form to puff up credentials to win an online debate, and it is crappy if you got booted from the group for asking her where she got her degree (didn’t see those exchanges, did you post? Were they public exchanges?). I just am not sure it’s worth launching an online crusade against her business over, as some people here think it is.

It’s fair to say you think she is sloppy and lazy for letting her LLC lapse but maybe she has several and that one isn’t the one she does most of her business under. Who knows.

I guess this is one of those situations where the world is lucky that differing opinions are allowed.

Some people want to prevent others from being scammed. Other people are OK with the theory that others have to learn for themselves.

There’s a whole lot in the horse world that makes me go like that :joy:

This particular circus is interesting to me because people here have some very strong feelings about it! More than I’ve seen with potentially worse situations.

I posted every email from her “admin assis”. I asked repeatedly why I was banned. I was told I “broke a rule” when I hadn’t posted or commented in the Masterclass since 06/2022. I was removed immediately upon asking where she got the “degree”. It is all posted here. Search my name in this thread. It’s all here. She is utterly without conscience. If that’s okay with you, you obviously have been duped. Sad to say. I wasn’t.

I don’t like seeing people have their livelihoods affected by rumor and innuendo. There has been a ton of that in this thread, some of it has been proven false now.

But it is not rumor and innuendo that this person blocks and smears anyone who asks questions that they do not like to answer.

It is fair to not want to do business with someone who treats clients that way.

I do not shop at a local tack shop where the owner is insulting and mean. It is the same thing.

It was rumor that she wasn’t licensed to practice in her state. That’s a pretty harmful thing to say about her. So I’m glad I came in here to prod and get to the truth on that.

That could have easily been cleared up if she were willing to answer questions about her licensing, but she isn’t, she goes nuclear. It’s reasonable to expect her licensing to be under the professional business name she advertises with. It was not. Once it was discovered that she is licensed under one of her aliases, the rest of us moved on. There are plenty of other sketchy non-proven credentials, it’s weird that you’re so hung up on this single instance when there are a ton of other questionable things identified in this thread.

It’s not weird considering people were starting to drag vets and other bodyworkers and trainers who associate with her into this mess. Opinions are one thing. Implying she is breaking the law and a fraud is another. She appears qualified and licensed for her work. Maybe she’s a psycho, a bully or whatever, but those are subjective things. Anyway, I’m moving on because I have the information I wanted. She isn’t doing anything illegal or harmful as far as I can tell.

She absolutely was not licensed in the State of Washington UNDER THE NAME SHE DOES BUSINESS IN. She had every opportunity to clear that up instantly and chose not to do it. She absolutely lied about her academic credentials. In the State of Washington that is a “gross misdemeanor.” There is absolutely NO reason to lie about academic credentials. It is called “academic dishonesty” or “academic falsification.” She has every opportunity to clear that up. She did not. You obviously are here to turn people from the truths that have been revealed about this woman. However. It is all here. I have everything to back up everything I have said. Anyone who immediately rids themselves of pesky questioners has plenty to hide. I am also not the only one.
Question. Would YOU lie about having achieved a university degree? For ANY reason? Because, apparently, that is just something to poo poo.
I would never lie about mine. I worked too damn hard to achieve it. Lying and saying you have one is a slap in the face to anyone who has, or will, work for one. Just stop it. It is a huge problem and against the law in Washington.

If I asked my farrier where he studied/learned/apprenticed and he refused to tell me and then would no longer take my calls, I’d say he’s hiding a lack of credentials.
Same goes for my horse’s chiropractor, massage/bodyworker, veterinarian, equine dentist, etc. If they refuse to discuss their credentials and then cut me off, that speaks volumes about their character.
If someone immediately shuts down any conversation about their credentials I immediately see red flags all over the place. Maybe for some that’s not a problem

Also still, there seems to be gray area as to whether “nerve release” is within her purview as a massage therapist, or if she is venturing into veterinary work. At least one poster here says it harmed her horse significantly, and there is a veil of mystery around what she is actually doing.

And just going around talking about “broken nuchal ligaments” and other such nonsense.

The whole operation is shady as can be in terms of constantly changing business names, toxic manipulative behavior, poor business practices, and misrepresentation of qualifications and services and a changing self presentation as people catch up with her. She’s heading for a big payout with the short term classes but my guess is that once one or two cycles roll by she will no longer be able to sustain the clients.

This is very typical mlm marketing though not obviously multi level (her clients dont have to pay her ongoing fees, because they won’t likely earn any). But she’s got the marketing down including “block and destroy haters” and mystify the medical aspects and go for the big payout before the house of cards collapses.

I am very interested to watch this play out. I have a recreational interest in internet scams

Which is the m.o. that we’ve seen countless other times with other entities that proved to be scammy charlatans.
