Thoughts on "The Traveling Horse Witch?"

Dang. I have two plain bay horses, a black horse and a very plain chestnut. Do you think that if I got some magickal body work I could give them some chrome? I really wanted chrome…that’s just not what I bought sigh Who knew it was that simple???

Does she not realize that the white on the RF inside is the white on the RH leg?

This is wild. :joy:

Yes. But I won’t tell you what kind of body work, you can’t watch me perform it, and it’ll cost you $1,500 to get on my secret, non-public wait list. (I take Venmo). :sunglasses:

I’m filing this under “stupid is as stupid does.”

Dear Lord, people are idiots.

Which of those images is supposed to be before and which is after? What is the huge “improvement” we’re supposed to be seeing beyond the non-existent changing of the markings?

Gotta say, I’m not in love with the ‘posture’ of either of those pictures. That said, I own a horse who will stand with her feet anywhere convenient and not give a flip. Otoh, if I’m standing her for a confo shot, I’m going to at least try to get her feet under her bony columns and pointing in the same direction as the structures above.

I wondered the same thing. Which one is supposed to be the fabulous after photo?

I have one who will routinely cross his back legs and hang out that way. He’s not neurological (this horse has been vetted out the wazoo), he’s just weird. He’s a weird horse all the way around, and that little quirk just makes him weirder.

Many love the idea of horse riding because of the magical bond with a majestic creature. We watch horse & human intuitively move with synchronised knowing as one being.

What people fail to realise is that that bond is available to all of us with our own bodies, borrowed vessels that we move through the world in, until we one day don’t.

Last month my magnificent sports therapist @yobtherapy collaborated with the miraculous @travelinghorsewitch Celeste-Leilani Lazaris on my body, fixing what western medicine had deemed broken, and it felt like watching medicine women weave magic in the days of old. I remembered both of them speaking about being “guided” by the body they’re working on, as though it was speaking to them. I noted that I rarely hear male medical practitioners speak with that verbiage, while most of my female physical therapists & acupuncturists have said this like it was a no-brainer - it wasn’t their mind dictating, but their hands being led. This may sound esoteric to anyone disconnected from their body - while artists may relate.

See, our bodies are always communicating with us. They whisper in pains, mental health symptoms, strange inconveniences, “minor” hormonal changes, skin conditions etc, but we are so full of ourselves now that we dismiss our bodies, take a quick pill & rub an ointment to shut her up, confusing majestic elegant machines for an annoying beeping appliance that’s getting in the way.

Would we silence a child or roll our eyes at a horse if it cried for help?

We are already in relationship with something majestic. But if we can’t even listen to the whispers of the vessel we inhabit, how can we be responsible for something outside ourselves? We dismiss the fields of knowledge that listen to those whispers while pedestalizing ones that numb & drown them out.

“One body at a time,” both ladies said while working on me, when I asked whether it hurts their hearts that many will never realise what healing is available for chronic illness/pain - and so I hope, in some way, that my own expression can contribute to that sentiment.

PS: for avid readers, I highly recommend The Spark in the Machine. It’ll reveal the poetry that we call the human body.

Oh barf.

Until we one day don’t…move through the world??

Is this like the dude that believed you needed to be a karate master in order to work with horses?

These guys (and gals) hurt my brain.

Thank you. :joy:

I shall now remove my hands from the keyboard in hopes that time and distance will prevent me from sending this to a few people who could actually use it to save themselves time in their, er, endeavours.

Right - enlightenment at death or some horseshit? It’s like some extra-twisted catholic guilt thing.

Also, if this body of mine is merely a borrowed vessel, may I return it for an upgrade? I mean I know I should be grateful and all but this PoS is just not living up to my hopes and dreams :frowning: I’ll gladly pay the restocking fee and if there’s a charge for the upgrade, I’m good with that too.

I……I don’t even know what nonsense I just read. What in the actual f**k, I cannot with this level of insane - and I’m well versed in crazy :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yup. #1 for me, is why does this horse appear in so much hind-end pain? Or am I seeing things?

For me it’s really too short of a clip to assess much of anything. For me, the real question is, if the horse is indeed now sound and not neurologic, how would one determine that it wasn’t the actual EPM treatment with medicine and time off to continue to grow up ( horse is now 5.)

It reminds me of when I was a teen I had a horse that was having some SI pain. We ended up doing injections and then promptly he fractured his splint bone by kicking a rail. So he was on stall rest for a while. These people approach my mom about doing energy work on my horse and wanted to document it. I was against it as I thought it was a bunch of crap but my mom is pretty gullible honestly. And it was free. Well after stall rest the horse healed his splint and his SI felt better. But again was it the energy work where they wave things above his back? Or rather the injection and stall rest?? Lol
