Thoughts on "The Traveling Horse Witch?"

Well to be honest, fifty years ago my black belt karate instructor HAD Arabian horses…

Exactly this. Correlation is not causation, plus the horse still looks funky behind.

I mean, I guess what I see is a green horse cantering. He looks ok, I guess - nothing to write home about and I certainly wouldn’t have guessed that he was an Andalusian, just looks like a nice western QH sort casually loping along. I can relate to being happy that one is under saddle that you didn’t think was going to be, but it definitely doesn’t make you a miracle worker.

Well, certainly more questions than answers are raised here. The horse is very sucked up/has no core muscle development, which I suppose could be typical of somebody who’s never been in work, and is not using their body well…However, I would also say this horse has some pretty funky hind leg conformation
. They are really long (And look longer because of how sucked up the horse is in the flanks, and how lightly muscled in the loin), and they are very crooked. That’s all aside from the EPM diagnosis. So I would expect some wonky movement based on that alone.

Really, though the clip is too short to make any profound judgments. And there’s no trot, so we can’t really judge the horses soundness. He does look happy and comfortable to me though.

As someone who has owned and ridden more than her fair share of Less Than Perfect horses, I completely agree with this observation. To me, the gray horse looks incredibly sickle hocked and just built funky in the hind end. All the woo-woo and witchery in the world won’t fix what nature bestowed upon the animal.

Even more exaggeration of her “accomplishments”.

She posts about how her method was selected by the University of Hawaii -Hilo and will be used/taught by this person.

What actually happened - that person is just one of her followers, who works as a “farm technician” and will be trying to teach students, who she has no actual authority over, this unscientific method on the side.

Is the University of Hawaii aware of her phantom qualifications? This appears to be a bridge too far in terms of liability should anything go wrong.

The farm tech should absolutely not be giving instructions to students. That’s not how university works.

Also, anything like that being done with and to teaching animals needs to be run past the school’s IACUC.

I betcha the university’s public relations people would be livid to see their imprimatur apparently put on this. I doubt she has permission to be using their logo, etc.

I don’t see her course listed on their website. Perhaps they are not aware of her announcement?? image

We need a tribute, in the form of someone willing and able to successfully pass themselves off as an aspiring “pre-vet” student, who will inquire about signing up for this “course.” Correspondence to include link to the horn tooting and a screenshot (with the uni’s logo clearly shown of course) lest it go poof at any time.

I don’t think she’s saying that the Nerve Release course is going to be offered at the University, just that the “faculty member” is going to be sharing her new skills so that the pre-vet students can go on to impress their professors when they hit vet school.

Having the university run the course would no doubt negatively impact her cut of the proceeds.

After seeing both the course schedule / module list, and the “homework” for the first module… there is no way this is getting on a university curriculum, and if you forked out the $1200? ish for it… get your money back!

what is the “homework”?

Look up ‘pressure points on the human body’ and find your most sensitive through experimentation. This will be the area that needs release. Take your strongest finger and poke into that pressure point like you want to make a hole through to the other side. Do not release until you are biting your own arm and smacking the ever-loving crap out of yourself with the other arm.

Note, it is a good idea to wear your Wonder Woman bracelets for this homework.

Note, if the pressure point is on your arm be aware that you may end up kicking yourself instead of smacking. This is normal. Do not relent with your treatment.

Please note, this is not Shiatsu or acupressure. The force you use on yourself needs to be much stronger and much more unrelenting.

Just a guess.

Ooooh, I think you’re right! Is she really peddling trigger-point therapy as this new “nerve release” thing? It never occurred to me that THAT is what she’s on about with the new modality.
