Thoughts on this TB mare's pedigree?

I’ve been Googling away and found some good information on the COTH site and the FEI database but haven’t found anything about Polish Miner.

Aside from the almighty Google search engine, are there any print resources you would recommend to use as a reference for TB sport horses?

I love the Danzig line - you’ll find quite a few of them in eventing - here is an archived thread on it:

Thanks! I did find that thread already - there are some seriously good ones in the archives!

Is slewdledo Still on COTH? Pm her she worked with Polish miner and his full brother Polish gift as well as their offspring

Thanks jennwho!

Danzig is a great line. Native/Northern Dancer has also produced tons of Hunter/Jumpers that have done well in the show ring, to my knowledge. A lot of the horses that come through the barn I’ve boarded at for the past ten years came from Finger Lake tracks and have this line somewhere in them.

My last TB had very similar lines to your mare. http://www.pedigreequery.com/pure+pro2

How is she built? My guy was built like a brick house and was very athletic. He did well in the hunter ring locally, dabbled in jumpers/eq and was great since he was built uphill and would turn on a dime. He had a heart of gold though and was really just a cool horse all around.

Glad to hear that so many of the Danzig line are doing well in sport! Ruby’s fairly refined, and quite athletic as well. She’s hot but able to take a joke; I would say she’s a bit tough to train because she thinks she’s right but once she’s learned the new thing she’s got it. I’ve had her for two years and the more I work with her the more I like her.
