another fleckin’ commercial. Was it just a quick get off and misstep? Or is she ailing? I couldn’t tell…
and how’s Karen doing?

So is Karen still on the course?
Poor Susanna! Did she just get hung up in her stirrup? At least it doesn’t count…
Not happy with NBC editing
Oh for crudssakes, can we cut out the startbox and cooling out scenes, and stick to the actual rounds? You’d think NBC would’ve learned from airing the Rolex competitions that we care least about the first and last jumps on course too.
Sorry for the vent, but I don’t think NBC is showing enough of the real action!
Really wonderful that we can see so many riders … and so disappointing tht they are not allowing us to see the US riders. The suspense is killing me as I just want everyone to get around safely and I was getting worried something bad had happened when they just disappear…
ETA … now we see what happened and that’s Mandiba’s inexperience showing. Karen is just such a horsewoman. Did you see her reach down and pat him after the first jump? Oh how I wish again that Teddy was there.
Bit of a Heinz I think!
Karen’s refusal was at the second to last combo - took the direct route and it didn’t happen.
*edit - guess that was her second one, not her first.
OH NO, 2 run outs for Karen
Why did she take the direct option on a green horse? You’d think she’d just want to go clean after she already had 20 penalties.
Mandiba looks dually impressed with some of the questions asked. Just young…can’t be too upset
Wow she can STAY on a horse! Loved seeing her grab mane too! Sucky, but she does suck a great job.
He’s such a young horse for this… That said, I think Karen really should have taken the long option at the last combo. Oh well.
84.80 pens
REALLY?
I wish Teddy were there. He wouldn’t have been daunted by any of this piddly stuff.
But that’s a steep hill going down to the arrowhead. Karen was tight as a tick or she would’ve been off.
That first water has ridden so well today… In fact, the whole course is fantastic. Way to go, Mike E-S!
I think that given the earlier problem, the only chance the US had of staying in medal contention was if she took the direct route and made it. Taking the option and the additional time would have been too many pts. I think that’s the conversation she and Amy were having right after her round.
Lovely Belarian head case coming up after Brazil and France.
I’m praying he can make it safely.

REALLY?[/QUOTE]
lol excited typing should read “she does such a great job”
Karen did say she thought about it but was afraid she’d be so, so, so slow. Then apologized. She’s aware of the mistake…which is good to hear, really (though also expected)
