Our old dog went neuro on the left side, both front and back, a few days ago. She can move the legs but has no clue where her feet are.
She had been to the vet 2 weeks prior for xrays for a lameness on the right front, and we took shots of her spine, which showed pretty significant arthritic changes. We put her on Deramaxx daily. The right side lameness improved.
When she went neuro, she was seen by the vet the same day. We added gabapentin 300mg split into 3x a day, and prednisone 20mg split into 2x a day, and took her off the Deramaxx.
That was Thursday. No improvement.
How long should we wait? What else can we do? I’m feeling really hopeless.
