OK… doing my first Hunter Trial this weekend… Qualified Field Hunter division. We won’t rock the gate but will do the other things fairly well. Does anyone want to offer tips?
I plan to groom her to the enth degree and braid. I generally hunt with bell and galloping boots… is that OK?
I have an ankle problem so when I do the mounting I have to lean over and put my foot in the stirrup… will that cost me?
Looking forward to it… thoughts? Tips?

I seriously doubt anyone would care if you have to lean fwd to get a foot in the irons.
Couldn’t tell you for sure about the boots, tho.
I’ve hunter paced before, never hunter trialed.
