Trying to save money this year by trace clipping horses myself. I have the Wahl Arco cordless clipper.
Any tips you would like to share that would make this adventure go well?

The biggest thing is to have the horses super clean (way more important with smaller clippers), and then have spare blades on hand. I’ve done with Oster A5s, and it was fine, if slow.
I have the arco as well, and have used it for trace clips, full body clips, touch ups, etc. I start with fresh blades, always have a spare or 2, and lots and lots of blade coolant. It takes a bit longer, but definitely doable and they are a great clipper. Definitely have a clean horse, and show sheen really helps.
