Tom Joned hunt scene

Just cruising through the tv stations came upon the hunt scene in Tom Jones - While made in l963 it is still one of the all time great scenes in horsey movie making, and then Tom vaults on his horse and saves the lady riding sidesaddle on the runaway horse, breaking his arm in the attempt.
The horse had galloped off because the huntsmen whipped the hounds off the dead fawn.

A few years ago this fellow I met told me about a great old Agatha Christie movie - Murder at a Gallop w/ Margaret Rutherford… Its set at an old hunting lodge in England…While it’s not a classic scene like Tom Jones - the movie is entertaining none-the-less

You all may have mentioned it before but the hunt scene in Love in a Cold Climate is great. Some good hound footage. All too short. I just watched it, twice. The hunt part not the movie, still working on that.

Margaret Rutherford was a classic in her own right - have to see if it is available to rent just to see the countryside and old buildings, et.
