Too late for booster vax?

I acquired a 3 yr old pony filly this spring; she came with no health history (except was wormed, and seen by equine dentist as a 2.5 yr old). I had my vet come and give her a pretty extensive set of shots, and he mentioned doing a booster in 2 weeks, if I didn’t know if she’d had previous vax.

Many complications in my life then cascaded down, and much put on hold. Fast forward a month/6 wks? and I finally am doing damage control on things that got lost in translation. Probably a rhetorical question, but is it now not feasible to boost pony with so much time passed?

Thanks for any advice…

Anyone-would really appreciate feedback  !

I would say talk to the vet. I would say the worst thing is that you start at the beginning again. The best thing is that you can just have the booster and not start at the beginning again.

I have no idea. I could google an answer but I am guessing you have already done that.

Schedule an appointment with the vet for the booster(s) and you can discuss it then if it is too late and you will need to start over.

Many vaccines finish stimulating the immune system after some 21 days.
Then you are vaccinated, but for longer protection, some vaccines require boosters some time after those first three weeks.
Depending on which kind of vaccine is given, that second or more re-vaccinating protocols can be different, ask your vet which vaccines he gave and how soon a booster is needed.

My guess, most would be ok, if not ideal, for some weeks after the ideal time.
At six weeks past that would still be ok, see what your vet tells you.

I think the best thing to do is talk to your vet?

Thanks for the suggestions-I guess obvious thing is to talk to vet directly vs. clinic staff. Will do that.
