Took my first lesson in 7 years…

Pain. Absolute pain. And I got served a piece of humble pie by 11 year olds.

That’s all.

Anyways, I’ll be back next week.

Yeah, I know your pain. Lost my horse last year–this Thursday is the one-year anniversary of his death.

Looking for a new horse, with zero luck, but started lessons a couple of months ago, figuring that I should be ready if/when the new horse happens. Took a lesson last Friday.

The good news is I kept up with the young adults. I am fit for my age (75) and they are not. Instructor offered breaks (it was weirdly warm), I said was OK, they were puffing like dragons. But, oh my, Saturday I was so sore!

The physical pain when we get to riding again. Yes, sometimes it is excruciating.

Back on Track clothes can really help. They seem to reduce the pain and the muscles seem to heal better from their tiny micro-tears and all. They can also be worn under breeches and coat too, a great help in the cold of winter which tends to make muscle pains worse.

Yes, I always have some piece or another of the Back on Track gear on nowadays. If I did not use these my ingestion of over the counter pain medications would sky-rocket into the stratosphere.

The BoT ankle brace truly did wonders for me! I was having some weird angry tendon issues that would flare up badly when I rode, and would bother me for days after. Started wearing the BoT and I have no issues with it now. Total game changer!
