Hi y’all, I recently moved to central Ohio and was wondering who the top dressage trainers in this state are. I’m looking to show up to 2nd level. Any recommendations for me?
Where specifically in central Ohio?
Shelby/Mansfield, OH area. I’m open to any top trainers in any discipline, though I’d greatly prefer dressage. Having ridden with both types, I’d rather have someone knowledgeable than someone who is…um…not respectable as a trainer.
Kate Poulin trains out of a farm on the southeast side of Cleveland, but only 6 months a year, then goes to Florida. She is very good, as would be expected from the Poulin family. Another is to check out Jen Truett; Dancing Horse Farm in Lebanon. I do not know her, but has all her medals, has done some developing horse work and is into freestyles also.
I know several others in the Cleveland area, but Ohio’s big and it depends on where you are…

Doesn’t George Williams daughter teach in that part of Ohio?

Noel Williams regularly clinics in Ohio in the Columbus area and sometimes in the Cleveland area
My trainer has been there this summer. She’s from Los Angeles. Lehua custer
located an hour from Cleveland (I’m not sure exactly where tbh). Maybe she could clinic with you?
shes been working with us team coach Debbie Mcdonald. In my biased opinion she’s pretty good!
