Thrilling pictures–thanks so much for posting!

Awesome pics, I’m going to have to do this one of these days…

Great photos! Looks like you had a blast.

If you guys ever come through my back pasture (Mburg and LW do!) you will see Itchy’s clone!! I have a mare that looks JUST like him!!

Thanks for posting, it was a fun day! I am not really fit for 3 and a half hours, but at least there was still a fully stocked bar and buffet when I got in! My DH is our hunt videographer and leader of our cartoppers, he counted more than 80 riders. Amazing what a beautiful day and free booze will do to bring a crowd in!

It was also fun to see so may COTHers there.

Cool photos, thanks for posting.

Great pictures–and what a huge field! Looked like perfect hunting weather!

Great day!

It was a wonderful day - perfect weather. I was there 'til the end; you’ve got a lovely little horse!

Flora! Great photos!

I kept trying to remember your horse’s name on Wednesday…it was driving me crazy. I thought it was Itchy, but then wasn’t sure. Guess my mind isn’t as bad as I thought…

I’m the person on the body-clipped Half-Arabian buckskin with the Z on the butt–the horse’s butt, that is…not mine! (What’s on mine is another story.)

Hi, Jennifer!

Yes, my gray’s name is Itchy – I normally only ride him on Sunday, but with this new (old) fixture, I wasn’t sure if I needed him (my endurance pony), or my small “dirt bike” pony (Andy, AKA “Mini Me”) who is my normal Wednesday mount. Turns out Itchy was the perfect choice! Gotta love those 1/2 Arabs! They sure can keep up on the runs!!

My husband is the one who told me your pony’s decorative butt clip “Z” was the Harry Potter scar – so I do apologize! Harry’s scar is on his forehead, not his butt!

Itchy and I will be out Sunday – he’s going to look nice and trim as I’ve just clipped him (again!) since his (already twice clipped) coat was blossoming back into full winter bloom.

Itchy looks wonderful!

I love photo #11 it’s as if the hound is saying to the Reverend “Uh, Sir, with all due respect even if this were the hound show your overdressed a bit.”

Flora:

I think a “dirt bike” mount would come in handy at that fixture!

The Harry Potter thought was a new one to me, but there’s only enough room in my little brain for work- and horse-related information, so I am woefully ignorant of current cultural trends! No worries…

I was noticing in the 70 degree weather on Wednesday that I need to re-clip my pony, too. Might be a project for this weekend! I might be out on Sunday–solo, since my husband (the big guy on the big, slightly cold-backed bay at the back of 2nd flight last Sunday and Wednesday) is going out of town for a conference. Guess that means that I won’t be able to enjoy the “refreshments” at the tailgate as much as usual, as I’ll have to drive the truck and trailer back home instead of letting him drive!!!

At least you have a chance to enjoy the “refreshments”; unfortunately, I’m always the “designated driver”! If my hubby comes out, it’s only to take photos. He doesn’t ride --just carriage drives.

Glad that it’s going to be in the 50’s this Sunday. Still lightweight coat weather, but … I’ll be wearing my canary vest this time. My pony is clipped, and ready for some good runs this weekend… as am I.

We’ll see you out there!

Great pictures! Looks like everyone was having a blast.

Great pics, and it’s nice to have informational captions, but you might want to swap your stirrups to the opposite side. I’m guessing you have the curve on the inside to preserve a traditional appearance, but you want the inside curve to curve towards the back of the horse–the way you have them in those pics (with the curve towards the front) actually increases your chance of being hung up! Just swap sides, you can still have the straight side on the outside.

Thanks! I’ll change them ASAP.
