Foxglove, I just wanted to tell you, off the board, that your comment about the relationship between professional horse trainers and their paying clients was spot on! I mean seriously right. Pushing 60 years of age myself and only being part of the full training boarding scenario for the last few years I simply cannot get over how many of these young educated riders (and in some instances parents that are professional people that should know better) get so tied up in this nonsense. It frustrates me to no end when I hear of some very nice horse owners literally loosing sleep over what “the trainer will think”. Anyway…just wanted to thank you again for posting that great advice to everyone. With your permission I would like to copy and send to a few people that could really use your advice right now. Cheryl

Oh! What a lovely message! Of course you may use what I wrote! My mother was the one who actually had CLASSES in college (Smith College no less) on how one deals with Staff --it was all part of proper education for young ladies in 1917. She had more insights to many things than I gave her credit for. Thank you! You really made my day.
