I see you mentioned Tufts; where are you located? If you are not too far from Upton, MA, you might want to get in touch with Cathie Hatrick Anderson (www.bobcatfarm.com). I believe she does emergency trailering, and she’s terrific. Also, there are probably enough people on equinesite.com that you could put out an emergency plea to the bulletin board, and probably could get a good samaritan to you within an hour. Or, just set up an emergency phone tree in advance and if you needed a trailer, you would have a list of people to call. I live an hour away from Tufts, in Sudbury, MA, but having made the trip to Tufts myself, I would help anyone I could.
