Inclined, I bought a T’good Cob saddle on-line, and it’s on the way too (from England). Have you received yours yet, and how’d it do? I made the mistake of having a saddle rep come out, before I found the T’good, and she had me sit in one saddle that felt like coming home, and put me in a fantastic position I didn’t even know I had in me. Of course, it would be $$$.

Regardless, hope you’re able to get out and enjoy your horse.

Best,

Sharon

Sharon, I’m so sorry to take this long in getting back to you! I didn’t know that I had a pm until just now. :frowning: The T’good cob saddle fits Reggie well. It’s an older version of the cob saddle, and it definitely gives him enough room. We tried a Wintec Wide, but the angles weren’t right for him, and it felt horribly wide to my hips. All of my other close contact and all purpose saddles pinched him horribly, and he is honest enough to let me know when he’s uncomfortable. So far, he moves well in the T’good cob, and the balance is good for me, too. Even though it’s synthetic, I’ve found I can feel him move underneath me quite well. (I usually prefer the old pancake, plain flap saddles.) It does bridge just a bit at the moment, but I think that’s probably due to him lacking back muscle development, and hopefully that will correct itself in time. If you don’t mind me asking, what was the saddle that the rep suggested? I’m always open to ideas for the “someday” saddle when my budget is more flexible. I hope the T’good works as well for you as it has for us!
