I have a question about my horse’s hooves. I noticed a ridge on the sides of both of his front hooves. I know that typically that is a sign of laminitis but he’s not presenting any other symptoms. He eats 2 pounds of soaked beet pulp, 2 pounds of equine senior and a pound of omlene 300 everyday and his diet hasn’t changed at all for the past month. The only change I can think that would have an affect on his feet is the weather changes we’ve had in my area. It rained everyday for about a two week stretch and now it’s bone dry. Could this have an affect on his hoof structure and cause ridges?
