I’m a mechanical engineering student, also. I decided to do my final senior seminar presentation and paper on saddle technology and design. I am very intrigued by the Smart Ride RX saddle design. I’m sure some information is proprietary, but can you tell me how the carbon fiber material generates it’s own voltage? I can imagine the effect on the the horses, but I cannot find a reference in my research that says a carbon fiber material generates voltage without an external electrical source.
So exciting to be able to spend a summer there in research, with or without pay!
