Halt, before you continue to tear into me, consider the fact that you and I stood up for Fred when VR was attacking the real Fred and his offspring. You must have missed some of the epic threads that Winding Down has contributed to, but she has defended Marilyn Little and her horses’ bleeding mouths as well as some of the other atrocious upper level rider behavior. I rarely call people out but it gets so tiring to try to have a productive conversation when WD is in the middle of it arguing with everyone, like Jealoushe and JER. Just because I don’t post all the time doesn’t mean I don’t know what’s what. I’ve been on the Eventing forum for 17 years and have seen it all. I have seen your posts and really respected you until you felt the need to single me out and call my post ridiculous without necessarily knowing my background and experiences with WD.
Thanks for the comment. I would just like to see the thread get back on track… It is a little ridiculous right now. Not you specifically, but the back and forth. We collectively all have valid points and insights and I’d love to have us work together rather than tear each other apart.
I despise ML and I have criticized her vehemently. I actually wrote to the USEA about those issues. I cannot see why you think that I defend atrocious upper level rider behavior. I do point out falsehoods often when posted by Jealoushe and also comment when she generalizes about a group of people. I never argue with JER unless she attacks me. Which is often, now that I cannot block her. Please do read my comments rather than take what JER and Jealoushe post. I am big on not attacking people so I do take up for those who deserve it (and certainly not someone like ML). I do not know you KellyS other than you typically support JER when she attacks me. Other than that, I have no experience with you at all. BTW, I would defend Fred to the end and back.
and thank you. I do think that the thread will be shut down soon by the moderators.It is a shame that somehow air vests and changing user names got thrown into that thread which was productive in many ways.
I’m not sure how this visitor message thing works, but WD, I know you don’t support ML. I’ve read that thread and I think I even commented on it. I’ve been on this forum as a lurker for years and have a good handle on who is who, who is friends with who, and I think I can make my own decisions about a person without someone posting on my visitor messages about them… KellyS I don’t know you but thought that post of yours was unkind. Other posts of yours in separate threads I have agreed with. I’ve learned if you don’t agree with someone, don’t insult them. It can be hard but we all want the same thing, which is eventer safety. I think the pack mentality right now is a little hot.
I suspect KellyS tried to PM me and not make a visitor message. BTW KellyS you can do that by clicking the thought/speech bubble next to someone’s name when you are viewing a thread. or you can go to their profile and right after the SUBSCRIPTIONS/SUBSCRIBERS table there is a button on the right that says PRIVATE MESSAGE.
Goodness if every one of us was held personality accountable for every little thing we did 7 years ago… I know I was a lot dumber back then.
