I have a 4 year old thoroughbred gelding. Ib e had him for over a year and he just continually gets worse and worse I’m terms of behavior. I’ve recently come to believe that he may be cryptorchid. His personality changes and the drop of a hat and if he’s around a mare in season he will tense up, round his neck or do the flehming response, and will then drop. Occasionally some fluid will come out and when he gets to excited he bells. He has also tried to mount several of my friends mares in the last 8 months. You can’t palpate and feel anything so I don’t think its dropped (if there’s anything there). He also become excessively more aggressive on the ground.

I had several trainers with him and all are equally confused. He turns into a bronc under saddle, doesn’t respect anything, is super mouthy, chews on everything and will nip at humans and other horses. He tried to fight my trainers gelding yesterday when we wen to pony him on trail.

If anyone has any ideas about what this could be throw them my way! I have the vet coming out to do a full blood panel and exam on him at the end of this month to see if we can find anything. At this point I’m just lost as to what to do because he can be dangerous and I just want an explanation as so why his behaviors fluctuates so greatly day to day!
