Dear Ashley,
The Purple Cow Retreat is beautiful, and I personally don’t care about the power lines or the barns needing alittle work.
Maybe I can sell off our children (they are nice children and should fetch a good price) and move down earlier, rather than waiting for them to go off to college or join the circus..... Regardless, we New Englanders want to know....having researched the Purple Cow Ice Cream menu (it is important to get a feel for the neighborhood), what is a "pepperoni roll?" And, when it says "hot dog with sauce," do they mean ketchup? BBQ sauce? Booze? I feel sure you would have put it in the house's sales ad if it were booze, though, as this could be a selling point for some clients. And, in the interests of culture shock, I find the menu of this place to appear to be very unhealthy, and I cannot see us possibly going there more than 15 or 20 times a week. :-)
We hope to come down to the area in late Spring or Summer, when we can do some hiking, and will see if the property is available for rental for a few days. Regardless, I hope you find the most wonderful, appreciative, and warm family to purchase the home, as I imagine you don't want to wait the six years it will take for us to be ready to move. You have done a great service to this property, and as someone who loves old homes with history, I thank you.
Warm regards,
Sharon Arkoff
