I recently had to dna my 14 yr old mare bought from the widow of a horse breeder, because she is with foal. The results show the dam doesn’t match the paperwork. How this happened I don’t know. The breeder is long dead, the widow is in a nursing home, and their grown kids couldn’t care less, which is my problem. I know the original breeder has been sick the last few years in this situation, if they pulled a switcheroo on their old parents at my expense, how can I get this problem fixed as I have bred her to Special Effort bloodline?
