The horse I’ve been riding the past year has always been really unbalanced on his left lead. He’s always struggled with getting his left lead ushually we need a pole or he gets his front lead and counter canters. Overall I need tips to help strengthen him and get him balenced. We have been working on it over the year but defiantly not enough. I ride with other people usually and my coach never seems to focus on it. Stupid or not my fear is circling at the canter on him. Which is a way we always used to pick up his correct lead. The reason for this fear is I had a accident when trying to circle on his bad lead. He was popping out his himd and wasent listening also he is very unbalanced and never like to listen when we steer at the canter and almost seems scared to circle and turn. Which I don’t blame him since he is super unbalanced both canter directions but especially the left way. Anyways he got mad and took off crowhoping and I flew off and landed lf
On my head. I was sent to the hospital nothing bad ended up happening but a minor concussion and bruised ribs. I’ve been scared to do any circle work at the canter also because I wasn’t aloud to get back on in result my fear kinda hasn’t left 100%. Also a few rides afte that we got a ton of snow so we are stuck in our 40 meter arena so there is NO room to work on stuff and I ride with 2-3 other people most of the time because everything is overbooked.he doesn’t like it inside he’s super quick in his canter and doesn’t give any effort into jumping or anything but outside he’s the best horse you could ever see. Show season is coming up and I’m anxious about this problem. Please no hate because of this stupid anxiety I have. And I don’t want to give up him he’s one of the best things that have ever happened to me. Please help for tips on how to get him baleced and more reresponsive in the next few months before show season. Thanks please no hate :\
