Re: Tazycat. There are multiple long instances where Tazy has either not been forthcoming with information, or contradicted herself multiple times. Many people have low to zero tolerance for her.
There is so much we don’t know about people and what they share online, it’s hard to determine truth and otherwise.
The deleted post in question was apparently about what posters have lost parents, and Tazy stated her father passed away when she was 14, her mother when she was 39. The Grief thread says she found her father dead a year ago. She came back that it was her stepfather she found passed that kicked off the PTSD-type symptoms she is struggling with.
Personally, I think she’s desperately hurting, fighting with painful personal facts that she doesn’t really want to share, and that for once in its collective life, COTH could choke down its judgementalness and support a member in a tragically tough time. Someone commented that if Tazy’s story is false, people would be less likely to come to us for support. I think people will be less likely to come for support if they think one or two cyber-lawyers are going to comb their posting history for inconsistencies and eviscerate them while they are already down.
Call me naive, but I’d rather give the benefit of the doubt and lend my support to someone. If enough evidence arises to say otherwise, well there is obviously enough of a problem that a cry for help is being sounded one way or another. Just my perspective and two cents, anyway. There may well be more behind the scenes I don’t know about.
