hi, I know the facebook accuser… it was Denny Emmerson. Sad about this, as I always had great respect for him, even though I have never met him personally. (although I lost some of that respect after his last rants after Boyd’s horse…)
I can’t say I’m surprised, unfortunately. I lost a lot of respect for him after auditing one of his clinics, where he was incredibly condescending and self-important. What little respect I had left disappeard when he began his attacks on upper-level riders, particularly in the aftermath of Crackerjack’s death.
I had a friend who trained with him in the eighties. When I met her, she was a show jumper. When I asked her why she’d quit eventing, she said that her horse had had a catostrophic fall on XC & had to be put down, and that Denny told her that if she had a problem with that, she didn’t belong in the sport.
The hypocracy is mind-blowing!
