BO isn’t involved, he just asks for a check at the beginning of the month, so that isn’t an option. Many times I have sat down with the BM to express my concerns on said boarder, to realize nothing will be done. We have also had several discussions and confrontations about hay in general, to no resolution. Boarding contract requires stalls to be cleaned every third day, or that the BM will do it with a charge of $25. She never enforces this obviously. I guess I’ll get my own peace when I can leave and not look back. I guess I didn’t realize how open ended I had left this conversation. I felt as though I made it pretty clear that I would like people to express if they knew of any measures to be taken, and instead I feel as though I got shat upon for having my horses at this facility regardless of the fact that my personal horses are in a different area and are receiving a whole different world of care. But thank you for your comment, it was the only one that I felt was actually constructive. I’m just going to stop commenting on the post, it’s not worth the energy. Just wanted to send you a thanks in a PM.

Sometimes posters can be a bit abrupt.
You have to decide for yourself what is an acceptable level of care. You can’t do it for anyone else and you can’t make the BO do her job.
I would have a hard time at that barn myself but again, I wouldn’t stay at a place like that. But I get that there of plenty of people who really don’t care.
I hope you wont stop coming to COTH or think that people are against you. There is valuable information and there are very smart posters here who have good advice.
You don’t have to respond to any post. If you found something of value then thank that poster ignore the rest.
It is a kind of culture shock to go from a situation where the horses are well taken care of to a self care situation.
You are very welcome.
