Solar can be done most anywhere. Where will this system be installed? Just what are you needing accomplish. How far away will the gate be from the house? Do have internet service at the home? Will you need a company to install the system or will you be going it yourself?

Keep in mind there is still the 30% Federal Alternative energy tax credit available if this their primary residence

The gate is about halfway between the house and the road. House sits about 1/3 mile off road. Internet service probably does not extend to the gate as we are using a Verizon hot spot for internet access.

All I want to do with the gate is keep out the stray persons that think the driveway is another road. It would be nice if we had a few automatic openers (like garage door openers) for me and the sister that is currently living in the house.

We will have to have someone install it.
