Freedom Riders Academy is a small nonprofit horse rescue. We have one rescue who has DJD. We have been using the Ice Vibe unit by Horseware for several months. This particular rescue has an enormous hock with many problems. We began his therapy with the Ice Vibe 2x a day for short periods of time am and pm. We are now up to 90 minutes each am and pm. He is doing much better. We change out the ice packs at least 2 times. We keep our vibration panels fully charged. We set up a special station for this daily practice. It is important to place it securely on the hock making sure everything is lined up properly. Do not pull the Velcro tabs from the ends thus twisting the boot and changing the position. FRA is pleased with this equipment. We recommend it’s use.
