My instructor has athe whole short side… at our home barn someone out up a framed mirror 48x18 inches… close to worthless. If you are going to do it, and I applaud the effort, find out who can do it and compare prices and unless it is crazy expensive I would say at least 36 wide. I would be I interested in the prices you get.
