Laurierace , I somehow stumbled across your post about Macy while looking for information about collapsed trachea. I just purchased a puppy 1 month ago to discover she has collapse trachea. .we love her too much already to take her back. Can I please get info about where you took her etc.? And you said she was a puppy as is our Pippi . We need hope that she can get better.
Unfortunately this isn’t something that gets better but it can be managed. We didn’t have to do anything medically for her until she was 8 years old or so. Once she did have problems we went to our regular vet then onto the University of Pennsylvania for additional testing. From then on it was just experimenting to find whatever meds worked best for her. She lived a great life. Best of luck with your puppy, let me know if I can help at all.
