I recently rescued a horse that had bad back hooves, cracks and chips but was walking fine. After the ferrier on sunday evening he turned up lame in both back legs monday. The ferrier did find an old absess but that was in the front. Hell stand in one spot and alternate picking up his legs, there is slight swelling in the hocks but no heat. Iv been rubbing bown his legs twice a day with blue lotion. Is he just tender from lack of proper hoof care before? Tendon issues? Thoughts?
