I saw your ISO trainer post and thought I would shoot you a message to recommend Lauren Chumley. I was her working student for a bit and love her training philosophy. She’s a dressage trainer but does really well with all breeds and types and can install changes on anything with a solid foundation. She works out of Pittstown, NJ April-December and Loxahatchee, FL for the winter months. If it’s something you could wait a few months for, I would highly recommend her!

I actually thought of her too because she has a great reputation. But I don’t think I can wait until April :frowning: Ugh! Thank you

I decided that she is probably one of the best two people for this. I literally have never heard such uniform good things about anyone as the things people say about her. So I am going to wait until the spring to send the horse out. By then she’ll be home so she’ll be an option. Part of his issue might be “winter-itis” (he’s new to me, new to this discipline, and new to this weather) so perhaps this is “winter him” and not as much of an overall training issue as I thought. I do think a month with someone like Lauren would be overall very good for him, even if he is a more forward and cooperative guy when he’s not stuck in a dark box for months  Thank you
