I saw that you have used Weatherbeeta and Shires…how does their fit compare? My mare measures 72 from center of chest to point of rump but she takes a 69 in Weatherbeeta. I’m asking because I’ve been eyeing a 69 Shires Highlander but don’t want to order if they run small or true to size. Thanks!
It’s been so long since I’ve had a WeatherBeeta blanket that I actually don’t remember! I last used one on a horse who I lost 15 years ago 
My mare who wears the Shires heavy is a 78; I would say it runs true or is even a little generous. Of course that blanket is probably at least 8 or 9 years old now, so the fit on the newer ones may have changed a bit since then. It’s definitely a sturdy rug! Apparently blanket quality control is all over the place according to my own experiences and those of others. Very frustrating…:-/
