Hey everyone! I’ve been working with a wild mustang (Boogie) who was left behind on some property when the owners moved out. He is 13 years old and is now broke. We’ve been working on lunging to get him a little stronger as he was extremely skinny before. He had trouble holding a rider so I don’t ride him a whole lot. We think he fell out in his pasture due to a newly swollen knee. It was only warm once or twice in which we put cold water on it, but it doesn’t seem to bother him though he does take weight off it when grazing. The swelling is fluid like and isn’t really big overall. I was wondering if there’s a way to reduce swelling as I don’t believe it is as serious as carpal hygroma suggests, but again this is new to me. Thank you so much for reading and if you have any ideas as to what this is and how I can help Boogie please let me know in the comments below. Thanks again!
