A filly I have here for training won’t drink out of her water tank! I’ve cleaned it out and refilled it. She’ll splash in it but won’t drink. When I work with her in a small fenced area that has a couple water barrels she always drinks long and hard from them. They have the same water as her tank has. I took a bucket of water from those barrels into her pen and she just splashed in it and didn’t drink. What could be causing this? I’ve had several other horses drink from this tank; it hardly seems that anything could be wrong with it. Also the fact that she wouldn’t drink from the bucket of water from the barrel bugs me. Both bucket and tank are black; barrels are white. That wouldn’t make any difference to a horse would it?
