I highly recommend Claudia at Twisted Oak. I’ve ridden in the San Antonio/Austin area since the early 90’s and she is at the top of my list for trainers. I rode and boarded there in the 90’s before getting my own farm, and the care was top notch. Riding and shows are expensive, but Claudia will do her best to make it affordable. I promise you, she is so professional that you will always get your money’s worth. I haul down there when I can and it’s like going to a mini-clinic each lesson. She does not do local shows though. Oakwell Farms is excellent too, and does the local shows at the Rose Palace. So you have two good options, but unfortunately neither is going to be close driving-wise.
