I have 4 Lusitano fillies. Lusitanos are smart and curious as well as brave and sensitive. They tend to get attached to their person and are a bit jealous of each other for their persons attention. They are a little hotter than the Andalusian and a little more agile as well. They are incredible war horses. We joust, tilt the rings, shoot arrows and throw axes from horseback with our horses. They are good with cows, dressage, jumping and bloodless bullfighting. They are a long lived breed and they mature slowly usually taking 6 years to fully develop and sometimes growing up to 8 years old. Horses with bad dispositions should not be bred. A good mind is one of the most important attributes. They also cross well with other breeds such as Andalusians and Quarter horses.
