Welcome to the area. I’m a fellow dressage leaser who can’t afford to own, so look for lease horses. It’s not the easiest area. I lived in Brookline and now I’m in Newton. Are you working downtown or in the suburbs? I’d recommend avoiding anything north of the city unless you’re only going to ride on weekends. What level do you ride at and what’s your budget like? You may have better luck looking at eventing barns. They’re usually a little more open to the public.
Hi Sherry! Thank you for the welcome. I do work downtown in Government Center. I’m trying to just get my foot in the door in a barn by going during the weekends but it can always change. I love dressage but I’m open to jumping/eventing. I just want to get to riding again. Budget wise… I want to lease, not buy. If I can get away with a lesson horse that would be ideal although I know that’s not common here. I’ll take any recommendation!
