I have been given the green light to start riding lightly and carefully but no jumping off to dismount my horse. The impact could cause damage to the new hip. So here’s my problem. I am 4’11 and my horses are both over 15h. I have to kick my left foot out of the stirrup and jump down with both feet. Even a stirrup extender doesn’t work because my arms still aren’t long enough to allow me to step down. I don’t want a different shorter horse so somehow I have to make it work. Does anyone have any ideas? It’s out on the trail I am worried about if I need to dismount. Help!
