Hi, RedHorses,
So, how are you feeling about your Equestic, these days? I’m tempted, but they’re pricey. I want to “BELIEVE” but would love to hear your opiniong, now that you’ve had yours for awhile…
Thank you!!

Hi Sharon - I love it. Aside from having one of my horses get injured last year and being able to see almost immediately if we’d done too much that day I like seeing the analysis. I’m subscribed to the first level so I get graphs of my horses’ symmetry in trot and I can see how consistent each diagonal is for each metric. Even things like time spent in each gait and the number of transitions are helpful. I do a lot more walking than I thought with my younger horse and if I decide I want to do more either total minutes or as a percentage the clip lets me know how I did.
I had a couple of issues early on and went back and forth with Equestic for a bit to give them enough information to correct the problems - which they did.
It took a bit of time to learn my horses’ baseline data and it seemed less useful at first, but once I had that I was able to try things and see how they affected the results. Like if my horse was pushing off more strongly with his right hind I could do exercises to engage his left hind and see if that helped.
I’m not riding my younger horse at the moment but I still use the clip when I longe him. Exuberant canter strides register as jumps.
I hope this helps!
