I will recommend Mark Halliwell. I no longer live in the lower mainland, but have been around the BC hunter/jumper scene for many decades. I bring Mark into our farm at Clinton a couple times a year, for clinics here… there is no h/j action in this area, and I need someone to correct my riding issues, and set jumps for me etc. So I run these clinics, and encourage other local riders to participate to get Mark paid for his weekend. Everyone likes him, he is very approachable, with a good dressage base, and rides beautifully himself. He is kind, and consistent, explains things well. He’s not a drama queen, or a jerk, or nasty, or a crook. He normally attends most of the local A circuit shows with clients. I do not know what he has in the way of access to school horses, but he works out of Richmond. He has recently moved from “Richmond Stables” (the old Tamarack), but is still in the area, and teaching at other barns in Richmond etc. Look him up, and give him a try.
Thank you so much for your insight! I will look him up
