I am in Virginia and, although this pony in question is cute, I can see spending 10-15K for a nice all around pony for eventing. I certainly understand pony hunters are higher priced because the requirements are stricter. Thanks for the encouragement.

You should be able to find that no problem – it might even be fancy, but it will be an odd size and won’t have a lead change. Everyone who has owned one like this will tell you that you can barely give them away.
