Hi there!
I live in Southern Pines, NC. Several equestrian neighborhoods here in the ‘Sandhills’. We have an area referred to as ‘horse country’ and its an area that wraps around a land preserve called the Moss Foundation which is over 5000 ac of land dedicated for equestrian pursuits. No vehicles allowed and no hunting aside from Foxhunting allowed. So lots of farms there that are not necessarily in a gated community. But we have about 12 ‘gated’ private equestrian communities in the area as well. Most have their own private trail systems and common areas with outdoor areas.
I love it here. Have been in the area (from Maryland) for about 11yrs.
