I asked the hunter trainer at our barn what she thought about the Betsee Parker/Brigid Colvin/Victoria Colvin/Steven Rivetts/positive drug test story.
Although she’s been in the business for many years and showing successfully at AA shows down to the county level, with young riders in hunters and jumper divisions, she had no idea what I was talking about, and had never heard of any of the people involved.
It was kind of refreshing…

Well I guess this is proof positive that Team Parker/Colvin should have hired a professional PR team to get the word out there. How can the real world be appropriatley disgusted with regards to this uniquely egregious event if no one has been alerted to the fact that it ever happened?
I think that a current hunter trainer in the US who has never heard of Tori Colvin may have been living under a rock for a while. I can see them not being up on the scandal du jour.

A current hunter trainer at the AA level has never heard of the rider who won the Maclay finals last year?
Never mind all her other wins; that one is pretty major to even the most casual observer.
