Would love to compare these 2 stallions. I know they are very similarly bred but would like to know what they each tend to contribute to and what type of mares they compliment. Does one stand out over the other and why?
I bred my thoroughbred mare Toronto for a foal this spring. I breed hunters and he has several that were imported and successful in the hunter ring here in the US. He has not been standing in the US very long. I believe his first US bred foals are coming 4 this year. I looked at Valentino and his offspring but felt that Toronto was a better match for my mare and my program.
I have been shopping for youngsters and have seen quite a few recent Toronto and Valentino babies. I’m more drawn to the Valentinos and many have been graded premium for their registry, but I haven’t bought one yet (so no personal experience). Valentino seemed to have higher inspection scores and has been competed. Has Toronto been competed?
For reference, I’m shopping for an amateur friendly eventer/jumper - not sure on hunter preferences.
