Lots of threads about TCS bridles/nosebands, but not much about saddles. Thoughts, opinions, experiences? Specifically curious about tree design and long-term durability.
TIA

I doubt long term durability can be answered, as the saddles haven’t been available that long.
Those I know who have them were previous Hennig loyalists - I don’t see anything different to a Hennig in the pictures, but maybe there’s something I’m missing.
Good point about long term. What do you think about resale? The FEW used that I’ve seen have been almost half of what they cost new, so just makes me a little leery in case it doesn’t work out…
I feel like that may be your answer…
I think that is pretty typical of a used saddle in a high price bracket.
Certainly they do not have the brand saturation that, say, Custom Saddlery has.
In my limited experience, only a few VERY well known name brands of saddle hold their resale value well. I would not consider TOTA a name brand, I wouldn’t be surprised if resale value remained there. That being said, maybe you can snag a used one and in that case your resale will be closer to what you paid.
I know there is a used one at Aiken Tack Exchange.
Coming from Customs - I feel those really hold their value well, I just wasn’t sure what to expect.
