I’m looking for gloves that are touchscreen friendly, preferably in a brown color (I foxhunt). I have tried two different types of Roeckl gloves and the SSG Hybrid gloves and neither work. I saw someone who was a guest at a hunt where I was a guest who had lovely gloves and NO issues using her phone and I’m kicking myself for not asking what they were. Does anyone have any favorites (bonus points if they come in brown!!) that actually work with an iPhone? Right now I just remove a glove, but that’s not ideal as they are easy to drop! Thanks in advance!
Make a cut in the glove’s index finger, about where your 1st knuckle is, so you can slip your fingertip out of the glove when needed. Use some iron-on hem tape (you can get it in brown) to stabilize the cut edges of the fabric.
My favorites (which are black) are Heritage, touchscreen friendly Elite Show Gloves So thin and comfy. Mine have been really durable, too.
I’ve tried several , the only ones that really worked are the Ovation Tekflex I have now. I really like them though & very grippy too. I have no idea if they come in brown, I just buy whatever color is on sale.
oops wrong type of gloves, lol.
I ride in Roekles … and I just discovered that if I use the SIDE of the tip of my finger it works - I had always used the end of the tip… try that.
Heritage gloves are the best I’ve found so far, but they are still not awesome. And as a driver, I’m always looking for brown gloves, but that is a big fat fail when it comes to touch screen friendly (fortunately for me I only need brown when competing and the phone isn’t required).
They’re not advertised as touch-screen gloves, but I can use my iPhone while wearing my SSG All Weather Gloves! They come in many colors and aren’t too expensive.
Thanks guys! The gloves that you guys so kindly recommended don’t come in brown, so I did a little further research and found a sticker that you can put on any glove to make it touchscreen compatible. Fingers crossed that it works! In case anyone is interested: https://amzn.to/2Xrrzrx . If it works I’ll be adding it to all my gloves from now on!
You can also buy electro-conductive thread at places like JoAnn’s and make any pair of gloves work with a touchscreen.
Your link, for me, just lead to a empty Amazon shopping card.
