Track opening, May 25....Update Again

https://standardbredcanada.ca/news/5…rt-may-25.html

Live feed, but I don’t have the URL for it…just google Assiniboia Downs. Racing will be with no people but betting will be available.

An update on AsD and promising news for Century Mile and Hastings Park - https://canadianthoroughbred.com/hor…1_tw8xh-APACBk

As far as Alberta racing, have this to add - both Century Downs and Century Mile are hoping for opening in the next couple of weeks…

And Woodbine Mohawk Park is aiming for June 5, or 12, Woodbine June 6, or 13. Will be up to the Provincial Government. I hope everyone well keep up on the social distancing this Victoria Day weekend. We don’t need to a setback.

Alberta is talking about mid-June, Century Mile and Century Downs, but according to HRA, nothing set in stone yet

Rideau Carleton in Ottawa should have qualifiers the last week of May, racing to start early June. Our boys should be ready to roll!

Hanover is having qualifiers soon too and tentative dates in Alberta, June 1

Races at Assiniboia Downs went better than expected - 6 races and a shade over a million wagered.

Woodbine changed some distances for opening day, so my 6 y.o. will be able to run. Finally. He’s been ready since mid April.

I saw a huge whack of qualifiers at assorted tracks down east, but haven’t looked at them yet so more and more tracks are starting to open

Rideau Carleton in Ottawa had almost 60 horses qualify last week. Races start up next week, 2 days a week.

didn’t Georgian run qualifiers too?? I know Hanover did. Maybe we are on our way

Both did. I think the only Ontario track that didn’t have qualifiers was Western, but they don’t start until fall.

Finally got a chance to look at results…there were a LOT of qualifying races in the last few days
